Shift Knob Horror

Have you seen the movie Christmas Story? Do you understand the science behind the tongue and the flagpole?

Well...... when it is below freezing outside and you happen to brush the snow off the car..... without gloves (who needs gloves) your hands get wet.

Hop into the car goe to shift into Reverse and my fingers STUCK to the frozen metal shift knob

Would I ever tell anyone to get this Razo knob...... only if you live in a decent climate!

Wow, is that your skin on there?

I guess your only solution would be to swap it out for a stock one with someone in a warmer climate...such as San Antonio!

I'll PM you my address!

Cheers! M2

It probably used to. I'm sure a bulb was used as a pattern, but it is really a great shape for the job.

Just switch it for the stock one in winter. Then use whatever you like when it's warmer. Or you could just use a leather one all year round.

But yeah, my dad used to have a Lada back in the day and I remember sticking my fingers to the stick itself (metal) a few times. Not a pleasent sensation.

I have a metal shift nob, too. I live in NY, so I get enough cold weather, but my fingers have never stuck to the thing. Still, it's darn cold to shift until the car warms up. I think I will try to find a leather one before the end of winter.
