THE YARIS WAVE

So today I was driving to work and saw another Yaris on the road… I went to go wave, but the other driver didn’t even look up. I would like to implement a Yaris wave. VW has a thing called the VW Courtesy, when you see another V-Dub on the road, you let them pass, or turn, or whatever… Jeep has the wrangler wave…It’s real subtle. With their hands still on the wheel they do a quick wave, even a head nod… Well, I think we should have one too… Lets open the forum to a discussion so we may choose the proper wave!

I have always liked the peace sign, index finger and middle finger raised. I knida feel like a tree hugger with a car that gets 40miles to the gallon!

A guy from Philly promoting brotherly love ?? (what...)
But I'm with ya brother. I passed 4 Yaris's a light blue lb, black sedan, white sedan, and a silver lb (in palatine, illinois. maybe a fellow yarisworld user on that one) and the drivers looked @ me like I was a flippen moron for waven at them.
Something must me done.

sounds like a good idea, but since pretty much everyone has tinted windows, it's a bit tough to see the other drivers!

Back in my Neon days we would wire up one headlight to a switch so we could *wink* at other Neons.

With the daytime running lights it would be as easy as running a switch that would cut off the ground to one of the headlights.

I like Violin's idea. I will honk at every Yaris I see from now on.

I love it when people think I'm nuts.

I say that if we are passing someone head on we both flash real quick (lights of course, unless your a woman) and if someone is in front we do the same with a quick flash, only the person in the front then has the responsiblity to give a very small raise of the hand to signal recognition. If we happen to be so fortunate as to be next to one in a stop light we roll down our window, nod, and roll it back up. ...but nothing quite so gay as a honk...and add a wink in if the car is sexy enough.

Well I sold the Jeep for the Yaris and the wave prob had about a 90% return rate. I'm down for us to have one too but it is going to be slow going at first. They have been doing it since the first time some mud and rocks rocks got in the way
