Thinking about buying a 2006 Yaris Liftback

Hi Everyone,

New to the site here. I have looked through some threads but due to my impatience I didn't look through all, so sorry if this has been a thread. Anyways....

I'm looking to buy a used Yaris and found a 2006 Yaris LE 4 door liftback. I took it for a test drive today and it felt pretty good.

The asking price is $10,495. It has had one owner, 48,072 km on it and I have yet to physically see the vehicle history, however, the sales person told me that it has had no major repairs or accidents. Physically the car looks good, with a few chips from what I'm assuming is from parking lot dingers. The sales person offered to fix the chips and little scratches. The interior looks good too, except for some scratches near the a/c knobs, etc. The following is what the vehicle is equipped with:

* AM/FM Radio
* CD Player
* Power Windows
* Power Doors
* Power Steering
* Air Conditioning
* Electric Mirrors
* Bucket Seats
* Air Bags
* Driver Airbag
* Passenger Airbag
* Rear Wiper
* Block Heater
* Child proof locks
* Rear window defroster
* MP3 player
* Floor mats

What I'm looking for here is your thoughts on the price. I can't seem to find the 2006 Yaris in the kelley blue book or edmunds. I really like the look of the car and appreciate it's reliability and gas mileage.....plus it's kinda cute.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me! Cheers!

Hello and welcome to the forum.
These are Canadian dollars so I'm not sure about the price.
Does it come with any kind of warranty?
Mine had more miles, but it's a 2007, runs like clockwork still.

The basic warranty that came with the car when the first owner leased it. Good until March 2011. I'll definitely be haggling for some sort of extra warranty.

you didn't say, is it auto or manual transmission? It affects the price some.
