Changing Springs?

As some of you might Know I currently have Tanabe DF210's which is a 1.6" drop. I'm currently thinking about switching to NF210's which is a 1.1" drop. My wheels are 15". With the DF's I bottom out at 40+ speeds and have scraping on the front when going in and out of driveways and making high speed turns. My question is will switching to the NF's solve my problems, I mean how much is .5" when it comes to springs? I thank you in advance for your reply's.

Do you have the stock alloys?

If not what wheels do you have Size and offset and what tires are you running?

I have 15" Konig Heliums with Falken ZE912 205/50/15

I'm also wondering if changing to Tokico Blue Shocks would stop my problems. But my real question is if .5" is going to make a difference?

Your tires are just rubbing the fenderliner, it is not hurting anything. You coudl cut a small piece out of the fender liner and it will never rub.

The Blues will help keep from rubbing in the turns. They wont really help going in and out of driveways, unless you are taking those fast and that is why you are rubbing.

Hell yes it will! I just put the nf's on along with tokico blues, and I no longer have to creep up or down a driveway in fear of scraping or screwing the car up. I had tein springs, but it did no good having 16'' wheels with a +40 offset and 195/50 tires.Just getting the Nf's alone will solve your problem of scraping and bottoming out.

Strange, some people have no problems with DF's and others do.
Did it bottom from the start or did the springs settle. I have DF'S but have not installed them yet.

Springs settle and switch from stock 14" to 15" and roads here are worse then before because of new construction.

Another idea would be to get some 195/55 tires as well as some adjustable camber bolts in the front. The tires will lift you up a little as well as be a little narrower then the 205's. The camber bolts will also allow you to have your front tires angle in a little, so their more of a 42 offset then say a 38 or 40 offset. Good Luck!

keep in mind, automatic trans cars are heavier and thus will cause more "scraping" issues

Or all my audio stuff like componet speakers, 2 amps, 12 sub, and custom trunk sub box.

Anyway contacted WSCP and plan to put my order in this weekend. This shall solve the problem and if I need a little bit more then I'll order the new camber bolts Garm just got in.

OK time to log off and watch some starsky and hutch.

Blues and an Under panel will solve it. That plastic crap is whats scraping. Hangs down more than a half inch too.
