Over a $1 a litre in the GTA

It finally happened and just like last time for no reason other than for the rich to get richer.

For those thinking of trading their cars in for Mini Cooper convertibles and the like, maybe wait for gas to get a little more expensive so the Yaris goes up in value

I have a long drive ahead of me in a couple weeks, it might be worth it to drive through the US after all to save on gas.

Back in April I drove through the US enroute to Regina. Driving through the US was fantastic. Gas was considerably cheaper and the thru-way speed limits were much higher (65-70-75 mph). Although it took a while to become accustomed to doing 85 mph along with the flow of traffic in the 75 mph zones.

We've been over a $1 per litre for a very very long time. We're used to it by now.
Which is why I don't drive the 6.3.... too much fuel spent wasted.

102.9 at the most competitive station along my commute yesterday.
103.6 is common in Burlington. We're all commutors so they bend us over good. Ouch!

Interesting. Filled up at .980 in Burlington this a.m.
Couldn't have imagined it would dip below a buck before the fall.

Watch for a spike before the weekend. From years gone by I've observed a small dip in price immediately prior to a big jump. Tank up now.

About $1.12 all last week in north-east Quebec for 87, too. At least the 91 isn't as inflated there as it is in Toronto. At the Shell across from my building if it is at $1 for 87, they are at $1.13 for 91. The Shell in Baie-Comeau if 87 is at $1 91 will be $1.04. So when I left Toronto I filled at $1.15 and when I got to Baie-Comeau I was paying $1.16, so only 1 cent more even though 87 was 10 cents more than Toronto. Funny how that works.

Saw .976 in Burlington Wednesday (for 87 octane). And surprised it hadn't jump yet.

Was down to 94.4 here yesterday. I took advantage of that. Today it's back up to 99.9.
