Hey everyone,

I'm so excited to tell you about my yaris purchase. I have been seriously considering getting a car for quite some time now, since before Christmas. I did so much research online, read tons of consumer reviews and then I found this site! I was so excited to see there was a forum all about the yaris!

Anyways I finally went and bought one last Tues. It is a 2008 silver hatchback LE. They only had 2 on the lot, both were silver hatchback LE's. They were basically the same car. The one that I got had slightly more km's and was therefore cheaper, but also looked to be in better shape (less scuff marks, scratches etc).

So I got it for $15,000 OTD. Keep in mind thats CAD. It seemed pretty good for an almost brand new car. The only things I didnt get that I wanted was cruise and 60/40 split backseats. Instead the whole back seat folds down bench style. I felt these were not really deal breakers and I could live without them. Plus you cant always get what you want when you are looking at used cars! Atleast I dont have to wait months which could of happened if I got a new one!

Anyways I pick it up this Tues and I cant wait!!!

Congrats!

Be sure to check out this DIY cruise control mod(since you said you wanted it). I think the 08 is a little more involved than the 09, but still possible and cheap.
