A speedo, mom and I....

My mom and I went to the dealer to test drive what the sales guy called a little beater, a 44k mile 08 auto HB. So, we headed down the highway just to see what it had. The speedo was buried and the thing was screaming like two cats going at it in an upside down metal garbage can .
These little cars are like go carts with a body.

True.....I enjoy my Yaris as much as I did my two MINIs. If you are pushing it hard, the MINI is great but frankly, the Yaris is even more fun at posted speed limits, which is what I drive. Yaris steering is lighter, quick (this has been lost to a degree in the current MINI) and the much smaller turning radius means great fun that one can actually use all of the time.

I never drove my cars quickly because of prevailing traffic conditions....I prefer surgical accuracy that allows be to be a better, more efficiant, more engaged driver out on public roads.

Surprised that the Salesperson didn't freak out. The speedo of my Yaris ends at 120 miles an hour.

almost every time i go look at a car and go on a test drive, i tell the salesman that i won't know if i like it unless i drive it like i own it... then i start sliding it around corners... last time, the salesman almost pissed his pants...
