exhaust or bumper mod? [poll]

I'm changing out my rear bumper. This means I have to (1) modify the new bumper for my center-exit exhaust (more work and more money I don't have right now) or (2) modify the exhaust back over to the right-side exit (stock position).

What say you?

Which rear bumper are you getting? If there is no pre-cut out on the right side, I'd say stick with the center-exit (I might be bias, lol), and cut out the middle yourself. If there's a pre-cut out already, then you can always cut out the driver-side and do and dual tip (smaller tips, not those huge tips).

which do you like? I like the center exit and does it have to be done now? I'd say hold off and save for the mod to the bumper.

yeah the problem is that all the aftermarket bumpers have a pre-cut hole on the right side. So not only does that have to be covered, a new hole has to be fabricated and finished for the center exhaust.

Ray, the lip you're talking about is some custom work, which I'm trying to minimize if possible.

I'll probably just move the exhaust for now, depends on downtime and cost. keep the votes coming, what people think does make a difference.

I gotta say I'm a fan of one-sided exhausts.

naw man, all about under the drivers and passenger door exhausts, that is the shit, lol

on a realistic note i personally like dual tip for normal applications but center if its built into the bumper. kinda like acura built in the dual tip into the corners, looks sick!!

On a more serious note, how about something like this (picture it without the rear lip):

okay man, chill, lol, i was replying that to the first pic, its all about the first pic man, lol

but yes, on a realistic note second pic is nice. dont do a center exhaust like BMW did in the older 80's cars. that was awkward looking..... it was litterally some random pipe sticking out about 2 inches below the rear bumper (and usually not in the center)

LOL. Figured you were referring to the LFA exhaust.

But yeah, Garm and I both have center-exit exhaust right now. Both look good. As for the BMW 2002, not sure what they were thinking when they made it a center, but not so center-exit. LOL

I really like center exit exhaust. It would be awesome if there was a nice system for the yaris (Maybe Garm can take on yet ANOTHER project!).

holy rear end, Batman.

Thanks everyone for the valuable input.

I am going with right side exhaust, for now. 3" downpipe-back, with a Vibrant muffler.
