Broke 35mpg! - Toyota Yaris Forums

Just wanted to say that I am jelous of all the yaris owners and whish I could afford one. On the other hand my 03 ford focus got 37mpg for the first time ever on a 420 mile trip. The focus is lucky to get 30mpg on the highway, my average being 29mpg going 70. Since I was low on money I decided to drive the whole way at 2000 rpms or about 52mph and I made an effort to find ethanol free gas and with out AC on. I now know the satisfaction of filling up a car and getting such high millage that all the yaris world members get. My previous high was 33 mpg driving the same route at 60 with 10% ethanol blend fuel.
