08 sedan running hot and smells funny inside
I have temp gauge on mine and it has always been at 180. A few days ago the car began to smell funny inside, maybe antifreeze or hot water. The temp is fluctuating between 180-190 mostly, if sitting in traffic it has hit 200. There is a drain hose on passenger side against firewall that started leaking. I have filled up radiator and overflow bottle. I am thinking it might be heater core but was looking for other ideas. The radiator fan seems to be working when it should. I flushed the radiator and still same problem. Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks. |

Could it just be the A/C drain hose that has nothing to do with the radiator?

I have no cabin air filter.
I will check the drain hose, but if that is the same hose I was asking about then it is leaking just fine already. The smell just started the other day and I smell it the whole time I am driving. But all this started about the same time that the car is running hot now. The temp gets hotter while stopped. |
