Talking Golf ball shift knob

Hi, everyone. This is my first thread on Yarisworld.

There were a few tens of golf balls lying around. So I got an idea: I'd make a shift knob out of a golf ball.

I somehow happened to get these shocking pink Spalding "lady" golf balls, so I grabbed one of the balls , drilled a hole in it, and replaced the stock shifter.

(If you want to remove your shifter, just unscrew the knob counter-clockwise. It takes a lot of turns, but it'll come off easily.)

Here's the result. I hope it won't come off while I'm "driving" . (I actually drilled and screwed the ball in pretty deep. The thread went about halfway inside.)

What do you think? I think I better find a collar or something to cover the exposing screw thread.

Thanks! Here's how it looks at night.

I'll see if there's any nut that could fit onto to conceal the threads.

Sorry, Mittelklasse; I've got you beat by over a year-and-a-half...

Golf Ball Shift Knob

But I did end up with a OBX Autobahn Kraftwerks Speed Star shift knob in the end.

Cheers! M2

I think installing a jam nut would help the looks, you could even paint the jam nut pink if like.
