Engine Cover?
Hey can some one help. I want to remove the cover on my engine the one that reads vvt-i and has the toyota sign on it, and i see that it has 4 10mm bolts on it. Do i just remove those? Will having them not there mess with anything motor wise. This might be a dumb question but just want to know before i remove it?

There's no issue with removing the nuts and taking the cover off. Once you remove them you'll see that the studs that support it are there just for that purpose.

The cover is there mainly to protect (and keep dry) the spark plugs with their coil packs etc and for cosmetic purposes.
It's OK to remove it temporarily |

Looking at doing it white along with the top of the fuse box covers. White because The rims are going to be powdered white and the interior trim pieces on the doorsw and instrument panel/dash are white also....Yes i know how dirty white is going to get also lol. the black ios dirty as H*** anyways but still when white is cleanbed up it will look very nice and come together well with the rest of the car

Helps keep valve train noise down too . Learned that from driving a 2000 PRIZM ( Corolla ) around w/o it . Most noticable at highway speeds . Put it back on a few days later and quieter to the ears .
