My harness is worth more then just about every part on your car.... BTW i have a Cobra suzuka seat as well. Its FS on here, along with my other Harness. Dude you have no room to talk, you listed window tint as a mod and your car looks like shit.

Simple misunderstanding :)

How do you use harnesses with stock seats?

![]() Update: my harness is bolted in behind the seat to the floor. I work at a performance shop in st.louis Adventure Performance. We work on exotics and cars for SCCA, the techs we have can fabricate anything and make anything work. The belt works great, but i gotta get another racing seat, the factory one sucks, im getting a Race Tech seat next from my boss. I still need to make a How To on this for the pillars!

So, during an impact, your shoulders thrust forward, putting tension on the shoulder straps. That tension puts a force on the seat, thus compressing the seat to failure. Hmm. I'm an engineer, and I can tell you right now that with those shoulder straps bolted to the floor behind the seat, and with a factory seat, a crash will crush your shoulders down and snap your spine! That's why they say to use racing seats, which are reinforced to prevent this. I'm not picking a fight, but posting this so other people don't do this and kill themselves. To use the factory seat properly, you need a shoulder strap bar to take that compressive load...
Edit: your manufacturer...

I understand, but as said before I had a Cobra racing seat for the car, had everything installed and then sold my seat so i could get a different one. So im rolling around with a harness and a stock seat, i dont use my harness like this and i dont want to unbolt it cause my new seat is sitting in the back of our shop waiting on brackets.
