new yaris owner

After doing some research and reading this forum for a while I purchased my first Toyota which happens to be the Yaris. I was looking for something that was really good on gas and as maintenance free as possible. The fact that this car had a timing chain scored large points for me. Anyways so far I love it and hope to contribute to the forum.

Quick question though, on the wiper arm there is only one intermittent setting. Does that mean it will only go one speed? Or is there a rain sensor or speed sensor that I don't know about? The user manual wasn't very clear.

Here is a picture!

Rain sensor? Are you being serious or joking?

While the car is very reliable and and of very good quality, they cut more corners to produce these cars than a construction crew building a roundabout.

One intermittent speed!

The single setting intermittent wiper switch can replaced to allow for adjustable intermittent. For liftbacks, we use Prius, Matrix, etc. wiper stalks that have the rear wiper switch and for sedans 06+ Camry, Solara, Tundra, or Tacoma stalks will work. Here's my DIY on how to swap it out:

Thanks CTScott thats a great DIY write-up it looks pretty simple to do. I haven't had it in the rain yet so I don't know if it will bother me or not. But now I know I can easily swap it out
