Cheap Spoiler 09HB Project

Just received my cheap spoiler

Can anyone pls help me identify it? (The vendor does not know anything about it)..

Bought because it was cheap (60 bucks plus shipment) and seemed worth the risk. Overall quality is almost 10 out 10.. looks decently primed. The box says it is maide in R.O.China (Taiwan). Very light in weight. Comes with basic mounting hardware. So far looks looks awesome on my car (finally my car does not look like mad egg).

Will post more pics once it is painted and installed

Comments always welcome

Thanks

P.

Essentially that is an RS replica. You sure got a deal on that one.

Thanks

Bought it here.. but customer service with that vendor is below average .. it took them 7 days to ship it and they forgot to include the commercial invoice (I am from Canada), so it was returned.. received my item one month after ordered it.

Why not? The hatch and roof line didn't change in 2011.

Edit: I just checked the actual web site. Forget the fact that it states '07-'09. This thing will work on '06-'11.

How's the fit? any shaping needed (gap between the car and spoiler?)?

Fits very tight.. in the pic below, I am easily holding it in place with my finger. No, I will not be doing any shaping .. it is also surprisingly decently primed and sanded.. Overall quality is better than I expected.

Spoiler installed

Used Dupli Color OEM color.. base coat looks very close to the body.. clear coat is thinner than oem.. will try to polish it properly in couple days

Installation is easy and straightforward except for need to drill couple big holes from inside the rear door to access the nut with wrocket.. used 1/2 inch drill bit and had to improvise a little (needed somewhat more than 1/2 inch hole)

Update

Today the Fedex guy brought me a parcel (I am waiting for couple items that I bought) in which I discovered another Yaris RS spoiler identical to the one that I bought.. the vendor must have very lousy control of their inventores and shipment process.. now I have to spend my time contacting them and waiting for their instructions.. (I am afraid that since I accepted the parcel they will bill me for it) not funny also considering that shipping costs to canada are comparable the retail value of the spoiler itself

I paid paypal (only for one of course) and I sort of suspect that they can not technically withdraw money without my authorization

i don't think they can. you send the payment, they don't deduct it. it was probably an error on their side. let me know if you decide to keep/sell it... =]
