Question re JDM vitz.. pics inside

Below are pics of 2008 vitz from Japan which has a frickin nice looking bodykit.. I have a 2009 canadian 3DR HB and it seems impossible to find either a bodykit or a front lip for it.. This front lip looks totally awesome to me.

Question: does anyone know if front and rear bumpers are the same between this brother and 2009-2010 north american HB models?

that looks like the stock lip kit. You can try looking at Rakuten for at least the side skirts and front lip.

My concern is whether the front bumpers are identical betwen JBM and NA models ? Becasue if I buy smth and it does not fit.. it is waste of money ((

Chances are the bumpers on the JDM are shorter than NA models. Due to our crash safety standards, North American cars have beefier crash bars requiring bumpers with more depth. This would affect the curvature of the lips.

My recommendation: Do not buy.

yes the bumper is shorter than ours, so that front lip will be about 1-2" too short.

I want the same kit but they are correct the JDM won't fit right. Now VIS racing and Seibon make basically the same thing but the pricing is ridiculous for the VIS and because the seibon is carbon fiber it is even worse. You can buy a whole bumper for a comparable honda for what these bastards want for a lip....

But this is still 2006-2008, not 2009 -2010?

They are listed as 2007-2008 but might still fit, I thought they only changed the bumper up around the headlight and the foglight openings but I can't say for sure.....

I'm not 100% sure about the front bumpers, but the rear is definitely different between JDM and USDM. And, I honestly don't think it would be possible to fit pre-facelift lips on the facelifted model. But I can't say for sure, it just might work.

The entire sculpting of the bumpers changed slightly. Pre '09 bumper stuff will not work.

Thanks everyone

Looks like if one wants to buy such a front lip he would have to buy the bumper as well ))

1. bumper 47 bucks in japan plus shipment

http://injapan.ru/auction/j96853873.html

3. lip 118 bucks plus shipmebt
http://injapan.ru/auction/v214255813.html

next question is whether the JDM bumper will fit? ))))))))

^ yes, but with JDM crash bars. Or you can remove and not replace your existing crash bars and hope you're never in a front or rear-ender.

if the shipping is less than 400-700$ from russia then go for it! In japan you can find bumpers for roughly the same price but the shipping is just devastating!

EDIT: nevermind, noticed that's a yahoo japan importer..

that is an english version for bumber.. the bumper alone turns out at least 250 bucks shipped to cananda without the crush-bar.. pretty expensive project overall

there are several web-sites that allow you to buy stuff from japanese auctions.. I bought some car-audio related stuff before

Someone needs to step in and fill the void left by echo_hrs. Basically $$$ be damned, I like it, I want it, I'll do it.

I know it won't be me though.

I would probably try buying this stuff once I get the job (had couple interviews recently, hoping it'll turn out well).. )) in the mean time I have to restrict myself to mods like LED parking/stop lights and trd shift know (most recent mods) ))
