Ignition fuse location

So I am helping my Dad install a hydrogen system in his 2008 Yaris and he does not have his manual. So checking on here and my 2012 yaris, the fuse looks to be a 7.5 Amp located on left side fuse holder box under the hood. When I checked the two 7.5 fuses there both had power to them when the engine was turned off. That wont do for a hydrogen system so my question is;
is there a spot to hook up a lead to where the voltage is 0 when the engine isn't running?
I have installed a manual switch which will power down the hydrogen unit but if you forget to toggle the switch after you turn off the engine, BOOM goes your in-take manifold after an hour as the hydrogen keep producing until it detonates for the heat in your head. Yes this has happened in a previous DIY.

Under the hood, the easiest place to grab ignition switched power is from the red wire in pin 28 of the ECM connector A21 (the smaller of the two).

By the way, let's see some pics of the H2 system.

Thanks CTScott, i'll check out that source.

I should have taken pictures while the front bumper was off. I'll see what I can do when the Old Man gets back up here with the 2008.

That wire location works just like I needed. Your the Man CTScott.

While the 2008 was up here today I did take a few pictures but these would have been better during the install with the front bumper cover off.
I'll post them anyway.

The first one is of the actual hydrogen manufacturing device. We installed it between the front cover and the plastic insert in beside the radiator. This is where the distilled water and pellet mixture works with the 12 volt system to produce hydrogen.

The power source

This is mounted between the front bumper cover and the plastic piece to the left of the radiator. A picture without the cover on would have been better but I was in a hurry to get this car back together.

Under the Hood

This was mounted inside the engine compartment. The black container on the lower side is for adding the water/pellet mix. The container towards the battery is the water trap. There is a filter type of material in this container to make sure that only the hydrogen gas gets to the in-take.

The circuit

This is a relay which needs to be cleaned up yet. Here you have the main 12volts coming from the battery to the relay, then you have the positive lead from the relay going to the hydrogen production unit in the first picture. The other wire is coming from a switch inside the vehicle which lets you turn the system on.

The switch

http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/...Osystem004.jpg

This is the control switch. When it is on your hydrogen is being produced. When it is off your safe to leave the motor off and sleep well. Now remembering to turn off the system when leaving the car is tough for some so thats why this thread was started. We needed to find a power source that only supplied power to this system when the ignition was switched on with the key.

CTScott gave the info which worked 100%. Thanks Scott.

That's pretty wild. You'll have to keep us updated on what it does for his MPGs.

It's still early but the car has an extra 40 km for 1/2 the tank. The system needs an Amp meter installed in it which we did yesterday. The Amp meter is the measure of your dilution percentage which we found out was on the low side after we installed it. The solution was brought up to snuff (7 Amps), so we'll see how it does from here.
So far no yellow engine light.

you will need a system that produces 1/2 lpm of hho per 1000cc engine, your distilled water/potash ratio at maximum should be 720ml/280 grams...this is the max recommended for the mix. this will at between 10 and 12 volts produce a draw of about 30 amps...perfection!

Best of luck in your project (Thumbs up!!)

30 Amps???

The instructions say not to go above 20 Amps. Right now it's running at 15 Amps.
