IIRC someone did this a while back and it did in fact need modification. Someone else will probably know better than me.

I believe it was thebarber that had one on his. The xA/xB has a different setup throttle body, and the blitz kit for it is different, as the intake to it has a flexible coupling to a second metal tube that the throttle body bolts to.

I would guess the fuel controller would be a little different as well, and I know the pinouts on the xB ECU are different.

The fuel controller is identical, but you would need to follow the Yaris installation directions, since as Garm mentioned, the ECM pinout is different.

throttle body mount is different, you'd have to fab an adapter plate to make the yaris throttle body (4 bolt) fit the echo/xb throttle body setup (3 bolt)

iirc, the angle is a BIT different as the xb and yaris have different airbox setups...not a big deal if you're running a short ram, though

wiring, as mentioned, you'd have to use the blitz instructions for a yaris

and i think you'd have to find a new belt length since the xb runs a stepped crank pulley

**ive OWNED a blitz and greddy s/c for an xb1, but never put it on a car...i ended up finding a yaris blitz kit for mine**

I believe mine is a retrofitted from the Xb as well, but mine is modified to have a fixed pulley.

other than you need to fabricate the throttle body mounting, it's pretty much plug and play, but I dont use the supplied fuel controller, Im using AEM FIC instead

I wonder also if the adaptor that tooter made for his intake manifold would work on this intake and I am sure tooter would cut you a deal for just that.

Update:

Started installing my kit yesterday. I am slow but managed to make some progress )) Mechanical part is circa 90% complete: the kit is installed though not wired. The car starts, idles kinda rough (does not stall, also no CELs) but she always does it after the battery is disconnected.. looking good so far. One of pics shows tooter's adaptor between the intake and the TB. I might also need to play with belt tension - I am hearing some sort of squealing as engine rpm increase.

Excellent! We had actually talked about this in a "Blitz + 1ZZ TB" thread recently. I would actually prefer to have the xB upper intake side, so that I could make a cleaner connection to the throttle body after the flex coupling.

^ Tooter's adaptor is awesome. It is not cheap but imo is worth the price.

Agreed. There was some quality engineering involved in the development of that part.

Just got p0441 CEl

Kinda suspect it deals with the black box with two rubber hoses mounted on top of the air filter tube (tube between the filter and intake manifold).. I forgot to install one of the tubes (I do not have enogh nipples on my intake manifold) - will probably have to splice into one of the vacuum tubes between around the intake manifold.

Yes. 0441 is an issue with the purge VSV, which is that little square box.
