I work at enterprise as a driver and my co-workers always give me the Yaris to drive since I have one, most of the people I work with don't like driving them. Enterprise now will use any brand of car, they use to only use/rent american brands way back in the day. They will sell the cars once they either reach 2 years or 30,000 miles which ever comes first or if someone requests a car, one can buy any car that enterprise rents at any time.

Sorry to offtopic this, but Cutie Pie, your user tag "BLU SK8" was going to be our 2007's custom license plate this year, had we not lost it in the accident.

We have a small ENTERPRISE about 18 miles away . No YARIS sedans there that we know of . Doubt they sell them . Have to go to larger cities . Those are 50+ miles away in all directions . The sticks .

Would never think of purchasing a retired rental.

Yeah I would never also after seeing first hand how people treat rental's it's bad. Plus they sell them for just about retail price on some cars.

I have purchased 4 or 5 rentals personally and was pretty lucky I guess because never had any issues with them except for one which was the Chrysler Pacifica back in 08. That one had bad heated seat elements which had to be replaced and a tranny that crapped the bed, but it happened within the first 30 days so was repaired with OEM parts for free.

Did it look like the 2010 Sedan? I did a '2011 Yaris Sedan rental' search and one of the hits had a picture and it looked just like the 2010. I also did a '2012 Yaris Sedan rental' search and didn't get any pics, but one of the hits included 'Toyota (USA) continues to offer the unmodified sedan for fleet sales'.

I saw a Mercedes R series on the freeway a few weeks ago. I thought 'I wrote a Yarisworld post about seeing a Mercedes (in Marin County, CA) where the driver thought the rules didn't apply to her and got stuck with all 4 wheels off the ground driving over a parking lot median and think I posted that it was a G series -- but it wasn't -- it was an R, just like the one I'm looking at right now'. I saw an R on the road soon after it came out (2006 Model Year I think), and I remember thinking it looked like the Pacifica....not surprising, since much of the same team (in Germany) designed them. I liked the looks of the Pacifica when it came out, but I think the R series Merc (even with some similarity/essence/relation to the Pacifica) is ugly.

So do I. I also had the chance to drive many different cars (when I was in High School) that my dad would bring home (he was in the car business, but not an owner) and I didn't show many of those cars much mercy either.

Had a guy come over from France and asked for a compact rental. They gave him a Yaris sedan, he thought it was a mistake. I guess compacts are alot smaller in France than here.
On a side note, I have a 2006 Pacifica and the first year it was in the shop 6 times. After that very minor problems ever since. My wife loves it, to me it is like driving a bus in comparison to my little hathback.
