Newbie here, wanna spruce up my old echo
New to the forum, I have owned my car for nearly 3 years and have put plenty of milies on the clock. 212k some change, and counting every day.
I recently stumbled upon information regarding factory dash clusters with a tachometer, possibly fitted from newer yaris cars? Was wondering if anyone here could point me towards that direction. Other information I would love to know, what suspension and brake components from newer models would fit and be an improvment over the factory(and aged) stuff. This car has serves its place as my daily driver very well, and I feel it deserves a little love in the upgrade department. Thanks all! |

There's no upgrade for the dash unfortunately. The '05 HB was the only year it got a tach, and the wiring is totally different for it.
As for suspension, if you're just looking to give it new life, get some new shocks like Monroe sensa trac or KYB GR2. |

Thats a shame about the dash cluster. I could try to do some wiring, but it prolly is not worth it. guess i'll install one on the column like I have though about for a while.
For the suspension I was hoping for something a little better then just a stock replacement, I have been in a TRD equipped yaris and I liked it. So im just looking to find out what i can shop for that'll fit the echo :) I haven't found anything TRD for the echo directly. I am no stranger to having a witches brew of parts to make for a tight and fast car.

You can get the TRD directly for the Echo if you choose. Eibach makes springs if you want to go lower. Almost all suspension parts that say for scion xb and xa will fit too. Except the struts for the xb will raise the ride hight.
