obd type?
ok, here is my issue..i recently bought 2 obd2 scanner, one of them is cheap and i recently bought a new one. expensive with some addition features.
neither of them wont communicate with my ecu. and this is driving me crazy ![]() ok you maybe tell me go to a service station to check it out, but believe me, i cant find anyone to get this code for me. or i find it too expensive about 80 euros only for a read out! so any one knows why my scanners wont read the ecu? they keep telling me ( link error!! ). obd scart it connects, but no readings. i got 1.0l automatic 2002 toyota vitz, (japan import) any body knows what protocol or other thing must be the scanner please? thanks!!

Japanese market Vitz are M-OBD, rather than OBDII compliant. There are not many aftermarket devices that support M-OBD.
