best setup for bumpy roads ?
hi guys
i was looking forward changing my stock tyres (185/60 15) with a new setup .. and buying new wheels too ! any recommendations for my new setup ? like my tire size and wheel et. .. roads here are really bad .. bumbs like every 100m .. i won't change the stock suspension as i need the car to be high enough not to cause any rubbing issues even at full lock .. HELP! |

Anything larger will be worse in bumps. With aftermarket wheels, cheap can crack, dent and break, buy the best quality you can afford.
Other than that, the question is too big to answer. What wheels do you like? (see threads on here with pictures of aftermarket wheels).

i wont change size .. 15" are good for ride comfort ..
im just worried about the wheel offset change as roads are extreme for the suspension and weight bearings .. also tire size .. im thinking of 195/60 but not sure if it would cause rubbing .. because we drive in extreme traffic here so it is frequent to use full lock :-D and bumbs of course .. |

195/60R15 is fine, but your car will go faster than your speedo and hence losing abit of torque. You will sit about half inch higher than usual.
I've been driving with this for the past 3 years though. You definitely want to stay with 185/60. |

another thing .. most of the wheels here are 6.9 kg (15.21 lb) .. and offset +38 ..
is that lightweight or no ? lighter than stock steelies or same? and that offset is ok for the weight bearings and rubbing? |

15 lb. is an average weight, not overly heavy or light.
+38mm is fine until you get into a 7.5" or wider wheel. You won't hurt your bearings. I run 15x9 all the way around, race the car, and have never had a bearing fail.

i found some 15" wheels with 11 lb weight and offset +40
what about 195/60 tyres? any rubbing issues? will the acceleration be affected? i mean the lighter wheels can lower the effect of wider tire ? |

You probably would see a different in your 1/4 mile run though. But does that really matter? i think not. |

From what I have seen of Egyptian roads, I don't think that light weight alloy wheels will survive the punishment (as Garm mentioned in the second post). I would go with wheels intended for rally racing, like OZ Racing, Team Dynamics, Braid, etc.
