Question Problem playing SanDisk sansa clip+ MP3 player in '14 model

Hi,

I have a specific question on using the SanDisk sansa clip+ MP3 player in a '14 Yaris:

When I connect the player through the USB port to the stereo deck, it recognizes it (though not by brand and model) - that's the good news.

However, I cannot select a playlist. It automatically goes into its "slot radio" mode and starts playing some commercial clip for slot radio. If I move away from slot radio, it starts scanning folders (I think) F1-64 or so, but doesn't find anything in there. Similarly, I cannot select an artist or album. In other words, I cannot play any of my tunes this way.

Has anyone had a similar problem and has found a solution? Thanks!

PS> Plugging the audio cable into AUX works just fine with this player, but I'd rather control the player from the stereo.

Note sure why this would matter... Nevertheless, for completeness: the music tracks are in WMA format. Anyone out there having similar issues? Thanks again.

Hello i recently bought a Yaris Active Plus. I use a 16GB USB with MP3 songs in different folders, Using Winamp programm I created a playlist based on each folder but some songs in every playlist cannot be recognized and USB in the car doesn't play them!!

In PC all the songs play normally. In some folders I have 30, 60 or 80 songs and some other 160 or more.

Can anybody help me?

It's an MP3 player. It wasn't meant to use as storage by the headunit. You would have to connect it with the 3.5mm audio or a usb flash.

The headunit doesn't work with m3u playlists. But if your MP3 files are in there, it should still read them unless it gets stuck on the playlist file..
