Want to buy a yaris 01, concern

I want to be a part of the yaris world. I am considering buying a yaris 01, 1.0 liter motor. My issue is that it has run 145 000 miles. Should it be a concern if I am looking for a car that I most likely don't need to do any big work with. What should I otherwise consider when buying a yaris 01/03?, is it important that the cam belt should have been replaced after X miles? I appreciate all replays.

I would consider that a low mileage car. If it has not been wrecked and has been halfway maintained, it should be a great car for many more miles. 1SZ-FE should have a timing chain.

Thanks. 145K just sounds as a lot. Its a 01 so it is also quiet old.
It have some rust under the car and the cam belt have not been changed, is it a issue? And is not a problem just having a 1 litre engine. I have heard it put to much pressure on the engine.

It has a cam chain. Chains are less likely to go boom for no apparent reason.

I had an US version (ECHO) with the 1.5 that had 318,000 miles on it when it got crashed (not my fault). I took it on a 4,000 mile cross country trip with over 300,000 miles showing...no problems what so ever. It was a great car that should have gone 500,000 miles easy.
