Tire pressure warning light always on

Hi

I have had this problem for some time now and searching the internet it says to insert the ignition key without turning the engine on.

Problem is is that this is a keyless model so no ignition slot.

Any help would be appreciated please

I think you may have a bad battery your wheels in in your wheels

Not sure what you mean by this?

TPMS sensors have a battery in them. When the battery fails the sensor stops communicating with the system and the dash light is triggered.

OK it says online that TPMS batteries are not replaceable. I'll have to order a new sensor and I know which wheel is ths issue

Whenever I see a post such as this, I'm forever grateful none of my vehicles have TPMS. Given the outrages cost of a sensor, I'd probably just live with the dash light being on. Then again, I happen to live in an area that does not require annual MOT inspections.

Honestly, if you have never changed a TPMS before, just take it to a shop.

Otherwise, be prepared to remove and remount a tire, and then figure out how to get the ECU to recognize the new sensor.

Yeah good luck with that! I bought a truck with a bad ABS module but the dealer I bought it from fixed it before I took possession. It cost $700 and took a week for the ECU to recognize the new part

I had the same problem on my '09 Yaris.
I replace all the TPMS sensors when recently getting new tires.
They arr not cheap to replace but that light started to annoy me.

I do not know about the UK but, in the US " Mavis Tires" specializes in replacing the TPMS sensors,
That is where I got the tires.

Online the sensor is coming up at around £40 so not too bad

keep in mind that is once one goes bad, you most likely will not know which one it is..... and if one battery goes dead the others are on borrowed time.
So you just might as well replace all four and be done with it.
Of course,the best time to do this is when replacing tires.

BTW, I believer that E40 is just for one and does not include programing and installing

I had to change the TPMS sensors in my previous Yaris, and I had it done at Costco for around $250 for all 4 tires. Take it to the dealership and you'll be paying a lot more.

Doing a bypass just disables a good feature. Good tiers are not cheap either.

BTW, it's a given not to go to the dealer.

The light came on & I had s garage replace it for a lot ($150-250). Then the light came back on. I put a small piece if black tape over that irritating light. No problems with my 2010 hatch.

Each sensor, when replaced, needs the id number entered into memory using a handheld input. If the light came back on shortly after you started , say 20 miles, this probably wasn't done.

Hi, I had this problem with brand new tires. After continually bringing the car back in to the technician who put on the tires, turned out there was a nail in the tire.
