Door Panel/Speakers- Help Needed (pic included)

Hey guys

I am trying to install new speakers into my Yaris. It is a 2005 T2, which has a manual window control.
I tried to get the door panels off, but the Window handle doesnt pop out. It prevents the door panel from coming off.

Does anyone know how to get the window handle off? I have attached a picture of the door in question.

Thank you for reading.

... its easy once youve done it a few times... use a rag and "saw" it back and forth between the crank handle, and the plastic door spacer... check out the pics in this thread...

hmm.. I own a 07 sedan-S model.. so i'm not sure.. but from the looks of it, it looks as though the entire panel where the speaker is located can come off.. I would try that first. there should be some plastic clips holding it on and if your not afraid to try it, try some plastic putty knives on the panel and see if you can loosen it up enough to pry it open, then removing your speaker should be easy and you won't have to remove the window handle.

Ok I think I understand. There is a Clip on the door handle, on the other side of the door panel. Just to make clear, there are no screws involved, right?

correct, no screws, my suggestion is to take it to a car shop and ask them to take the clips off the window handles . . . they should do it for free . . . they have a little tool that does it! Re-installation is a cinch just snap them back on when you are done!

just like flosing the handle with a rag until you get the clip to pop off, just make sure get the clip back, 95% of the time it will be in the rag, but it can come poping out of there pretty quick ;)

or you can spend a couple pounds, and buy the removal tool :)

or try to "push" into the spring with a flat screw driver (push on the door panel to obtain some clearance)

Ok, Got it. It came off, went flying half a mile down the road, but the important thing is that I found it. And it will probably happen again when I have bought the Speaker Brackets and need to install them.

I totally forgot about the Speaker brackets though. Any ideas where I can buy them in the UK. Couldnt find anything on Ebay, dont know if Halfords sell them.
I know I can make them out of MDF, but where do I buy some MDF?

I am a newbie...:(

Its OK to be a newbie... despite what BlackYaris says.

That may help a bit... not sure though.

You can also cut the old speaker out and reuse the speaker holder.
