![]() What is that round knockout or plug in the right side of the front bumper in the picture above? I notice it's present on Priuses as well, but on the left side. |

That's the big improvement on the 2009. We older Yaris' have to live with a square plug.

Ah, yes, that's the tow hook cover. If you pop it off, you'll see where you can screw in the factory tow hook.
Mine fell off the freeway

I can't believe how many times this question has been asked. No offense Yaris Hilton but there's been at least 25 threads opened asking this.
But no big deal. |

I like the pull cord idea!
American cars used to have a small hole in the bottom of the grille to insert a crank for emergency starting. My '40 Ford had that. The same tool in the trunk served as a lug wrench, hubcap remover, jack handle and emergency crank. Tow hook access. Thanks! |

We had a good photochop here at one time depicting it as the Gerbil Escape Hatch.
Was rather cute, but I think lost in the hack.

Check this link and you will see the difference between the 07 and 09 . 07 has round and 09 has rectangular tow hook cover

but I think it's the opposite for the sedans, older ones had square plugs?
You could also take it out and put in a small chrome spinning fan wheel...

The picture above is of my '09 sedan. My wife's '09 sedan and the '07 S sedan have round ones as well.

My 08 sedan has the same round hole as Hilton's. Perhaps the HB's are/were square?
