Does your car ever have "slow" days?
Maybe it's my "butt dyno" or something but I swear some days it feels
like my Yaris drives nice and normal, then other days it feels like a dog like it's dragging along, with a lack in performance like accelerating and such. Not sure if it's just me or something is going on :( |

Just the days I have to use my A/C. hehehe. I actually have days that are the opposite, when it feels like it has more power.
What kind of gas do you use (talking about brands)? |

I usually use Shell and sometimes use BP, very rarely I'll use Mobil.

I'd say on it's "slow" days that it feels almost like it's being held back or restricted. Almost like if your driving a car and the cars exhaust is clogged up, feeling slow and sluggish as hell.

Mine seems that way too. I'm just guessing but I suspect barometric pressure and, humidity and temperature affect sensor readings.

Well if you take it SUPER GRANNIE SLOW, in the warmup period, then it will act sluggish for a while, if u take it normal in the warmup period, it acts normal, if u take it hard in the warmupperiod... its bad for ur car but itll run hard..... thats the truth

I noticed the same thing with moms X/a the cars seems to respond differently depending on the weather,I believe it may affect the sensor reading, and the ECU my respond slightly differently . I 'd put small money on it

How is your driving style? If you hypermile like I do, try flooring it to near readline on the freeway on an onramp to flow of traffic.

The answer is humidity. Then temperature. Then if the A/C is on.
Test it, next time its really foggy, or raining a lot, you wll notice immediately the car is slower. Same with warmer weather. And of course the A/C when engaged uses around 20hp. |

20hp? really? That seems like an awfully lot from our 106hp engines... I would think it'd be a little more noticeable then it is, if it's that much...

I 100% understand about what everyone is talking about. Some days my car just is horrible. Then other days its the best thing ever. Its weird, and i only use Shell gas. I have never put any other gas in there. And usually the car acts bad on colder days.

i'd say my yaris is groggy in the morning, or late dewy nights; including the clutch...but then again I have a feeling that it might just be me, haha
