June meet brainstorming
Ok just to start on an official topic instead of adding pages to our last meets tread. I guess the june meet will be somewhere in my area since we've been just about everywhere else. What is everyone feelin?? Meeting of course at a location, then... cruz/pics/bbq (it is getting warmer) or breakfast lunch dinner??
I can name off a few spots to meet up sit and chill kick back and relax. Cruzing is fun but you can't control traffic. (we all learned that with the mill valley meet) It might just be me but im old fashion. Find a spot with good views and plenty of parking, grab some food to throw on the grill and open a beer/soda. Smaller meets cruzin is ok dont get me wrong, but organization goes out the window with a bigger group. Give me your feedback. And for all the people who live a distance away your input counts as well... there is a reason we haven't met everyone, let us know what works best for you. Lastly for anyone that doesn't already have my number is 925-784-6002 Hit me with a text to let me know who you are so i can add you to my contacts. real name and forum name Dez |

How about this idea, Dez...find a nice park where we all can park next to each other, preferably one with a bbq grill or two. We start a potluck list, and have a bbq there. If it's possible, this park should be near some nice roads for those who want to go on a short cruise during the time we are there.

That way, everyone gets what they want. I think this time around, I won't be going on the cruise. hahahaha, just threw in a new water pump, and I'm now paranoid of smashing it all over the place. hahahaha, plus, I'll have my G-Lines on instead of the Rotas on my car. Heavier rims + poor gripping generic brand tires = bad choice for a sprinted run.

Okay, I think I found a park:
Don Castro Regional Park 22400 Woodroe Avenue, Hayward, CA 94541-3480 (510) 538-1148 It's just south of Crow Canyon Road, which I'm assuming is a nice road for those who would like to go on a small sprinted run and come back to the park. http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8...ed=0CBcQnwIwAA However, it's $5 parking...just letting everyone know. hahaha In regards to alcohol: "Please check the rules of the park you are visiting. Beer and Wine are allowed in some parks; no other form of alcohol is allowed in any Regional Park. Some parks do not allow any alcohol. Some sites require the purchase of a Beer & Wine Permit. Swimming is not recommended after drinking. Alcoholic Beverages are not permitted at pools, swim beaches or within 50 feet of paved roads, parking lots or posted areas. Please call 1-888-EBPARKS or 1-888-327-2757, press option 2, then 1 for information. " |

I think I'm working the last week-end in June but if you pick another WE I should be able to come and stop at Costco on my way to get us water or whatever.

Potluck sounds premo. What about days that everyone is available? weekday weekend?? also time of meet. morning afternoon evening? There is a lot to think about im game for whatever.
I work tuesday-friday so weekend for me is best unless its evening during the week. I was designing a cai today so i didn't get a chance to check out the spot. |

As long as there are in and out privileges in that/those parks posted, it should be fine.

I'm impressed. This next meet is getting started quick!
Usually the way NorCal folks work is....give them a date, location, and time, and they will come. They rarely have any "if" and "but" :P Location i think is pretty concrete. Date and time is what needs to be set. Hows parking at Lake del Valle? It sounds nice and safe there~ |

parking is good and spaced out. All including
-Huge parking lots -Lake views -Shaded areas for pics (laz) -Nice twisty roads heading there (everyone) -BBQ pits for the potluck or -Food joints off the freeway (a good meeting point b4 the ride in) The downside there is little to no cell phone reception at del valle Next stop picking a day?? June Fridays 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th June Saturdays 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th June Sundays 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th |

Best days for me will always be Sundays. Definitely not Saturdays for me. I can do Friday morning until afternoons.
