Can I install these speakers to the front and rear of my liftback?
What would be needed to have the speaker exposed? Adapters? brackets? McGyver?
I can get both the 6.5 and 5.25 in this model, but by looking at the way the speakers mount (specially the rear) loks like it would be a PITA. I know I would have to cut out the holes to acomodate these speakers, but is it possible? Thanks in advance! Here's the speaker: |

you would only need to cut anyhting if you want to use the grill that is with them, the speakers themselfs should just mount up like any other speaker would

Did you install them yourself? Is there anything that I need to be prepared for upon installation of the speakers? Special mods besides the cutting of the plastics? TIA. |

Do yourself a huge favor and toss out the grills that come with the speakers.

well you dont "need" to but some people like the look of the speaker grills that come with the speakers.. and in that case (atleast with the sedan) you'd have to cut the door panel speakers "grill" off to enable your use of the aftermarket ones ( i personally like the look of stock). To each his own.
and i hope all goes well with the install. fyi, you'll notice the sound is better, but you may want to think of getting an amp installed if your looking for overal system improvement/volume.
