Root to android 2.2, any experts that can help?
Anyone know how to root a phone to android 2.2?
I have a 1st gen mytouch 3g and want to root it so I can get android 2.2 up and running but I have no clue. I can't find any step by step for noob guides out there on how to do this. Just thought I'd ask if anyone knows...

A good place to start would be to read up on the threads in the Android forums.
Some people post step by step directions and discuss trouble shooting issues. I've seen some threads there but no guarantees they're still there or these directions are perfect. http://www.androidcentral.com/ http://www.xda-developers.com/ I've seen how-to's as well at engadget.com but not for the mytouch.
