INTERIOR FLOOR SOAKING WET - Toyota Yaris Forums

Hi

I have a problem every time it starts to rain the floor in the
interior is soak does anyone else have that problem or is it just me.

If you have a solution to it would you mind sharing it please because it's
starting to bug me

Have you checked if you have all the rubber plugs in place at the bottom? Sometimes car dealers forget to put them on...

Well i check all of them and there in there rightfull place
but i just put some silicon around them but i wanted to know
if this happened to anyone else and what was there problem

well no not really because it was mostly the 2 rear floor that was wet

Yeah mine's real musty and gross. It's been doing it for at least a year or two. I took it to a body shop and they couldn't figure it out.

And did you go to the dealer ?

Yes but they blamed it on the body shop because my car was just repaired from a wreck when I noticed it. So they both blame each other and I drive a smelly swimming pool. :)

so in other words no of them couldn't find the problem so they blamed it on each other

How about spraying the car with a garden hose? You should be able to see where the water comes from

That's a good idea, also check under the carpet!

but who knows, where the water is coming from? what kind of accident did your car had? did the water started after the repair?

It seemed to have started after the repair in my case. I will have to pull the carpet and check, thanks derick.

Had that problem, some of the rubber plugs came off do to constant srapping the bottom of the car (trying to get a F**** parking at the university

) and i did some boddy damage. The dealer removed ALL the interior, they hire a guy to repair it.

Maybe it's coming down from the door sills? Check that the seals are tight

Makes a lot of sense, water will never go up, it looks for the shortest distance to the ground.

Hi
It's me again this morning i woke up again and i saw it had a little drizzle tru out the night so my roof and a little water on it so when i went in i check the floor and it was a little moist not wet because it didn't really rain so my guest is the water is coming tru the roof does anybody have a idea of way on the roof it can be coming tru because i tried wetting it down n i didn't find where it was coming from ?
