Fuel Door

I know I may be flamed for this, but I don't really care. I want to get a fuel door similar to the Tiberon for my Yaris. I'm not sure how I want to go yet, either same colour as the car or a brushed gunmetal colour. I have contacts in the automotive industry to do powder coating and other processes, but I haven't looked into the cost yet. I'm just curious if there's anyone else that would be interested. I've seen the carbon fiber door cover on Ebay, but I don't really like it. I think it's just a cover for the door that sticks on. Let me know if anyone's interested and any ideas you may have.

If you could wait a little bit, they will be selling fuel doors for our car.

Possibly. I'm not sure. I actually have some ideas for a cover of sorts with a ring to put aroung the current door. I'm going to talk to some people at work and see what they think. We have a plasma table at work so I may be able to swing some thing solid. I also work with a few companies that have laser tables, but I'm not sure what the cost of that would be. I'd need a little more interest to go that route, as I think it would be a little costly.

this one is "real" vice a decal......not bad I would like a billet or machined fuel door myself.

I was at a gas station over the summer, pumping gas minding my own bus.. and a lady walks up to me and said " how do you do this??" she saw my weird/wtf face and said "I'm from Jersey and have never had to pump gas myself," my response was well heres what you do... I saw her complexed look (as swiping a card, pressing "regular" and then putting the nozel and squezing the handle is all that complex) and said would you like me to do it for you, of course that was a yes. So just as I finished she said "my students will have a field day with this, I'm a college professor at such and such"

Needless to say, as soon as I got in my car I laughed extremely hard at all of jersey

Course if you cant figure out how to do it seeming that I believe all gas pumps have instructions maby you shouldnt have a car. That also brings up the fact that I cant believe some people dont know how to change oil.

I helped put myself through college by pumping gasoline. I'm glad I don't have to do it myself unless I travel out to the uncivilized world.

i think its because you jersyn'its arent all capable of putting the nozzle all the way into the hole without spilling stuff on the ground....

which brings up all sorts of questions on how you guys make babies down there...
