Bye My Yaris and everyone on the forum.

Hi Everyone,

I think this will be my last post on here. I have loved my little White 2dr Yaris LB since I got it new at 2007. Unfortunately, I involved in an accident on Hwy last Saturday Aug11, 2012 morning on my way to work. My Yaris front end was heavily damaged and for the whole week I was hoping the insurance company can fix it for me. Sadly, the adjustor gave me a shocking news as my little bady has claimed Total lost. Although the settlement amount is acceptable, however as if everyone who loves their ride would understand there is more than money you invested on the vehicle but your care and time. Now I feel like losing a good partner which goes with me everywhere in the past 5 years, day, night, rain, shine or snow. Thanks my little Yaris LB...

Also I want to thanks everyone on this forum for your help in the past, wish all the best for all of you.

See You

Victor

As long as you're not hurt... after all, it's just a car.

Did you rear end someone?

What's your next car?

Fix it! :) Glad you're ok, though.

That looks less damaged than Crashy2, who has cost me less than $1000 to put back on the road (with both airbags and seatbelt pretensioners being part of that). I think I need to become the Yaris consultant for insurance companies.

@victorddr: Good to know you're OK. Always sad to lose a fellow 07, though, I know what you mean.
Best of luck on the new car too!

@CTScott: There's an idea.
Just tell me where to start sending the paypals...

You know what ... that was my first thought as well.

But this is Canada .. and it is just cheaper to write it off and just raise the insurance rates of the average citizen to compensate for it.

I know that Ontario pays just more for insurance than we pay here in Alberta.
I think we are seeing why ...

My Insurance told me the Est repair Cost would be over 10K+ as it had under severe front end frame damage. So they just write off the car.

Last shots of my Yaris before Insurance company takes it away...

Not so sure you will be happy with those other cars after coming from a Yaris ... just a thought.

True, I thought about getting another Yaris. But I don't like the new yaris design (Look similar to a Suzuki SX-4). Besides, I felt like I was too attached with my old Yaris (Since it was bought brand new; considered it was the very few that ordered to build and made in Japan). Can't really accept buying a North America built substitution. Kinda like someone can't get a similar pet after their lovely pet gone...

So, I decide to give other brand a try.

^ I don't understand that statement.

Every one of the Yarii currently running on North American soil have been built in Japan.
