Header + Mid-Pipe + Exhaust Installed

WR 4-2-1 Header
Nitto Mid-Pipe
Greddy Ti-C axleback Exhaust

the header & mid-pipe is quite quiet, just like the stock one, I can't head any sound from them inside the car...I only can hear the intake & exhaust right now

now the car runs pretty smooth without 2 CATs...but the gas smelt very very bad tho

about the exhaust, really quiet when you compare the HUGE tip with the sound

Idel: same as stock (inside the car), low deep tone(outside the car)
under 3500rpm: still pretty quiet(inside the car)
over 3500rpm: started to become loud

forgot to took a picture at the rear...

------------

p.s. any know how to bypass the O2 sensor in the mid-pipe? I'm still working on it

Alain, I think you deserve an award for the most quickly upgraded Yaris here

For the O2 sensor in the midpipe, the common fix is to use a spacer (aka spark plug anti-fouler) or an elbow joint, Garm's got some of those available too, I believe.

BTW the exhaust smell is worst when the car has just been turned on and is in warmup mode (rich mixture) but it's not to bad once it's been running for a while.

It looks like the midpipe and maybe the axle-back are the same diameter piping as stock. Is that true?

It's only a lil bit bigger, but less restrictive overall

Um...the diameter of header is a way bigger than the stock one(front & end), the front of the midpipe is almost 2", but the end is less than 1 3/4, the axle-back is the same as the end of the mid-pipe. so may be that's why doesn't sound too loud~

what's the quietest aftermarket axle back available for the yaris hatchback? is it the TRD? Or is there some Vitz one people can order? I bet that would sound incredible with this set-up.

Also, keep your factory mid-pipe because eventually the first resonator in your nitto mid-pipe will fail on you and start rattling. it cant handle the heat coming from the exhaust.. it ends up burning the packing material around it. At that point i'd probably just cut it out and weld in the factory catalytic converter there. If i was doing it all over again, that's what i'd do anyway.

Also i can't help but noticing your nitto mid pipe looks different than mine... on mine there is a resonator RIGHT after the o2 sensor which caused the car to idle rough. Looks like its been removed. I had mine cut out and it fixed my problem. looks like nitto figured this out and removed it.

Maybe the TRD or Apexi WS II, if your looking for quiet. The Apexi WS is known for being very quiet.

Man, my friend just has the Ti-C axle-back, and it's pretty loud already. I guess I'll hear yours at the meet. hehehe.

I think mostly because the Ti-C for yaris can't remove the silencer....or may be I don't know how to take it off...it seems the silencer is welded to the tip itself.....
