TPMS sensors

Does anyone know where I could purchase an extra set of TPMS tire sensors for my other rims? If I can find a source that is cheap enough it might be good to add them and keep the system fully functional.

also, I've seen them on ebay for good prices. You'll need to check with the dealer, but I think some other toyota/scion models use a compatible sensor. I don't think it will work with the sensors that send individual tire pressure info to the car, but I really don't knwo for sure.

If you get an extra set, you'll need to go to the dealer or tire shop when you switch your tires over, as the Yaris' TPWS can only remember one set of four transmitters.

At one point I was looking into creating a module to intercept the comm from the sensors and if all is OK, relay the data on, as if it was from the original set of sensors. After I found out how slow the system responds and how low the pressure needs to be to cause a warning, I decided it wasn't worth the effort and instead developed my bypass solution.

There seemed to be a lot of nuances to the TPMS switch mod as that discussion grew. Which one was the easiest. Not for you, but for dummies like me?

Look at the thread from the end back. The third pass ended up being the easiest and works perfectly.
