SMALLVILLE

OH my god, those crazy bastards

that was so terrible, throwing that commericial in there. And did you hear the tires squeel as she drove away? lol omg. Then "well clark, since you lost your super speed, take my yaris"....oh man.....

I think however wrote that one also wrote the clark and lana story back into it...jesus christ i thought that was over. Might even be worse than the yaris advertisment...go from the kick ass justice league to the damn lana clark crap again...ugh...

if you missed the yaris clips...try to find it somewhere its hillarious:)

I've seen a few episodes here and there. It always felt like watching a really terrible version of Buffy; the same monster-as-metaphor-for-adolesence stuff, but without any of the cleverness. Not too upset I missed the product placement, even if it was for our favorite little econobox.

Out of curiosity, was it the LB or the sedan?

it was hillarious. It was the LB 3-dr Clark is on the run and cloe comes riding up in a yaris lift back with spoiler and everything. then she takes off and you can hear this nice deep sound and as she drives straight her tires squeel in the distance. Then they get back to where she lives and clark has lost his powers again and is in love with lana again and of course he is blaming lex again, like always the jerk, and so then cloe says "well since you have lost your superspeeed (or supershoes or something gay i cant remember) then you can take my yaris" and hands him some keys. it was so funny man, especially personally having hit it off the line and gotten torn up from some suvs and minivans that didnt even know i was racing them....then they have it zooming around squeeling tires because its going so fast and comparing it to supermans speed...it was sexy though, but just so gay. i think clark should have said, "come on cloe, cant you pick it up"
and she should have said "sorry clark, not everyone has their parents giving them gas money you know, but im sure this is fast enough to outpace them. They are on foot you know"

I love the bit about the "deep sound." Reminds me of the Dodge Calibur commercial, where the soundtrack is clealry provided by a largish V-8, when in reality, the thing sounds like an asthmatic blender with a coke habit. The Yaris, I think, has a fairly pleasing exaust note for a 1.5L I-4, but it's hardly a powerful sound.

I just watched this episode and the car is cute and so is he!!! yah, it's a bad episode and that constant hummming!!!!! I did have to admit that I did like seeing the car on the show. My BF says that they put the 3 door version cause that is all they have in the US, I think the 5 door version is much more popular.

I am also addicted,I am getting tired of the Lana/Clark BS,but I love the crystals and super hero apperances, which they ve had alot of here recently.
And we have the sedan 4 door in the US aswell as the LB/HB 3 door.Cloe drives the HB/LB.

I'm just gonna have to wait for the DVD to be released... internet's too slow to download a lot of stuff... I'll probably forget about this discussion by then and will be pleasantly surprised

They film the series near where I live. Smallville is filmed in a town near Langley and the old highschool was one in Vancouver.
