Speed? Easy! Go and trade the car for a motorbike. You'll go a lot faster and have very little to no safety features.

I would recommend doing the usual intake, header, and exhaust modifications. These mods are usually bolt-on and can help you gain a few extra horsepower.

Simple? In what way (installation, etc)? What is your definition of speed? Acceleration, top speed, cornering?
Just get some super light weight wheels and super sticky tires. Can't get more simple than that, and it'll make accelerating quicker, braking shorter, and corner much better. Can also get a tuner and tune the ECU to make the engine more efficient. When I had my Yaris, the Tooter intake manifold spacer had some good gains with the butt dyno, as did an intake. And no, I'm not bias/placebo affect cuz I feel the complete opposite with my FR-S. Car felt horrible with an after market intake. |

What safety features? Mine has driver and passenger airbag, seatbelts and brakes, and I think that's where the list of safety feature just about ends.

Free performance mod: remove the rear seats if you don't use them. It takes 10 mins to put them back on if you ever need to.

Stripping the car is the best way to make it feel sporty.
As for performance mods, rear sway bar, lightweight wheels, pulley, flywheel and a good intake make a huge difference.

Never hurts to ask Garm (cali yaris). Also check my sig for threads that touch on this very topic.

You can use the button in the car to turn off traction/stability control.
I would not disable the ABS unless you are prepared to replace the ABS distribution block and front hard lines with non-ABS pieces. Just disabling the ABS will give you a massive rear brake bias, and under even moderate braking the rears can lock up.
