Well, I got a reply from Wolo today, the manufacturer. They said 10 amps is too small, they said to use a 12-15 amp fuse. Does anyone think that might cause a problem?

Here's the manual: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1768 You want "Exterior Trim".

As far as putting a larger fuse in your horn circuit. Sure - that might cause a problem. I don't know what guage wire you have throughout or what the relay is rated for - so you could end up with a carbeque. It definately warrants some investigation.

Thanks bro! I got the two horns installed just to the passenger side of the radiator, behind the grill. I mounted the compressor inside the engine compartment just behind the horns for easy access when I need to oil it. They are MUCH louder and deeper than the factory horn. I planned on taking some pics before putting the bumper back on but I was in so much of a hurry to catch the USC football game I forgot! Sorry!
Thanks for the help though!

I have no idea. I guess there may be a law on maximum db. The only law I know is against non-emergeny use of the horn.

I'm not a big fan of the sedan (just a personal preference), but the dealer had a black "S" when I picked up my car. It looked plenty hot.

Good luck with your purchase. I'll honk if I see you.

I wanted to get an S, but my truck was starting to have some mild tranny problems and I was sick of putting $$ into to it... so I just shopped around at a couple of dealers and ended up with the non-s sedan - because at the time I got mine the s wasnt avail in my area, and I;m not even sure if it is now either.....

Prolly not. They weren't bringing them into our region. The one I saw was at a Philly dealer.

I think the Toyota premium horns install exactly the same as the PIAA horns do.

Here is the reply from JDMPit when I asked about splicing or any included connectors (maybe a "Y" splitter) for the Toyota Premium Horn.

"I am not sure if they have the pre-wirer cable like the FJ CRuiser. Here is the link you may take a look to find if you can find sth similar to the FJ."

They gave me a link which shows a hidden 2nd horn connector on the FJ Cruiser.

http://yotatech.com/wiki/index.php/FJ_Cruiser_2nd_Horn

Apparently there "might" be a hidden connector built into the wiring already. Can anyone else confirm?

If anyone is still interested, there is a Genuine Toyota Parts horn splitter cable, that will allow you to run the Toyota Premium Horn pair on a car such as the Yaris with only a single horn cable. Now that I know this cable exists, I will go with the Toyota plug-and-play solution for upgrading my horn, and in turn, not compromise the factory wiring.

Here is a link of how they sound: (need flashplayer)

The one on the left is the premium double horn. The one on the right is the one that comes with the car.

By the way, does anyone know the part number to those Toyota horns?
