That method scares me. A while back, I ran into a write-up on using a ratcheting nylon strap to squeeze the tire enough to seat the bead - It works like perfectly and you get to keep your eyebrows.

The video's been removed, but I am sure it is the same method I've seen used numerous times on the trail with Jeeps. Sure, it's not the safest thing to do; but you do whatever it takes to get you home!

Cheers! M2

what is it physics or chemistry?

pour some HIGHLY flammable liquid into a tire throw a match it will 'explode' pulling all available oxygen for burning into the tire thusly causing a vacuum effect all this happening in milliseconds and causing the tire to seat itself from the force....

Just hit the play button. It says that the video has been removed, but when you hit play it does...
