What happened to "New Posts"?
Hi there. Long time forum member... love the site... great job!
Anyhow, what happened to to the "New Posts" functionality? I use that almost exclusively to browse YarisWorld... have been for a couple years now. But today I notice that it's only giving me the threads where posts have occurred since the last time I hit "New Posts". I liked it better the old way, where it would keep the list growing and growing throughout the day. Has anybody else noticed this? Perhaps I'm not explaining myself very clearly. However, I would really like to request that the mods/admins consider putting it back the way it was. Or give a really good reason why it was changed. Thanks very much!!

I prefer this new functionality. The old way kept cluttering up and it became my responsibility to remember and track the last time I'd hit the "New Posts" button so that I knew where to stop reading the lists at, or looking for a visited hyperlink in the list to have an idea of what I'd already seen listed. I always felt like that was a bug, and that the way it behaves now is correct.
The functionality you are looking for is more like a "Today's Posts" feature than a "New Posts" one.

BTW, the "Today's Posts" feature can be found inside the "Quick Links" menu, so it's not too hard to reach.

I find the new way annoying as well.
Also, I am noticing that when I look at my subscribed threads some threads will stay bold, even after I view them. It seems random as to when they do or don't... |

I have the same issue with some threads staying bold even after I've read them (and I'm always logged in)

On the other hand, sometimes the "first unread post" takes me past the first unread post, so I have to scroll back up. Sometimes I'm under the impression that threads reset themselves and are marked "read" although I haven't actually completely read them. No biggy |
