The Thread where I rate the Front Grills

Both on women and cars, I love the front end. Here I shall rank what I t hink are the best looking front ends for the major brands (luxury brands, european brands, or un-common brands not included).

So, without further adieu,

1) FORD

Why It's number 1:
I love it. Strong, uniform and dynamic. The "chrome" bars are instantly recognizable and emphasizes the strong lines on the face.

Ford is starting to lose points, however, on it's recent choices with the 2012 Focus and 2011 Fiesta. The Focus only has one teeny little chrome bar and the Fiesta doesn't have any. But the 2010-2011 line up of strong, bold grills is still the champ.

Number 2: Mazda

Why it's number 2:
Yes, it looks like a freeking smiley face. But you know what? I like it. Smiley faces are good. I want my car to look like it's having fun. And yes, a smiling car could look really stupid, but I think Mazda made the right choice going with thin headlights. Large, round headlights would look comical, but the thin lighs make the smiley face look cool.

Like with Ford, the grill is instantly recognizable, and stands out from a distance. You know a Mazda is coming at you, and it's telling you "Hey, I'm fun to drive. How could I not be? I'm smiling!"

Number 3: Toyota

Why it's number 3:
While it doesn't stand out like the Ford or Mazda, the Toyota grill is slick looking. In fact, it reminds me of gills. The way it curves down to allow a place for the Toyota logo to sit just makes it look slick. Reminding you of a fish might not seem to be a strong point, but fish are slick and fast, two things you definitely want a car to be.

Ford grilles look like Gillette razors.

Mazdas smiley faces make the car look asian, it bugs me how weeaboo it is.

Toyotas grilles were nice when they tossed the little colored bar in the middle.

This grill has stolen my heart.

As has this one, but I've always been a VW fan.

Number 4: Chevy

Why it's number 4: I like the single stripe across. Again it's bold and makes a strong statement. The bowtie is nicely placed in the middle. It loses points though for being the same colour as the rest of the car (unlike Ford) and for almost being TOO similar. It's hard to differentiate a cruze from a malibu from an impala. A LITTLE variety would be nice.

NUMBER 5: VW

Going with the classic stripped grille, the VW front is is fairly plain, but the VQ logo being nice and big is a plus, since it's such a great logo. The three bars on each side make it look majestic, kind of like wings.

I thought the same when I saw ford grille xD

Also, the crz does look so bold, yet anyone who knows about vehicles knows how lacking it is.
