For the love of God would this forum please do whatever it is to have a decent mobile experience! At this point if I am bored enough that I want to get irritated all I have to do is try to use YW on my mobile. A little investment would be nice.
and now for the commencement of people flaming me for my thread...

Funny but YW is one of the only sites that works relatively well on my mobile device.
Pretty straight forward site. The phone handles it pretty well. |

I have trouble with a lot of sites using my netbook I've been carrying around. Sites with a wide header can't squeeze onto the browser window; true of the MI site as well. Scrolling side to side to read a page sucks.
Do a lot of people use netbooks, or did we all just skip to smartphones?

I picked up a netbook from a friend for 1 single purpose and that is the FIC. Still have to scroll a tiny bit, but it is usable at least and can be tucked under the seat. I had both the iPad and iPad II and sold the II to Thomas. I can easily live without a netbook, iJunk, etc especially with how powerful smartphones have become...that is as long as web portal owners take some initiative to stay up with the times.

I don't use my netbook very often, but I use it far more often than my smartphone (an AT&T Fusion with Gingerbread). The Fusion shares a SIM card with a Motorola Razr v3 and most of the time I leave the SIM card sitting in the v3. I also have a Verizon line. I agree with Mazilla, I don't like the mobile versions of sites. |

I looked at getting a netbook, but for $200 or more to me it just wasn't worth it over a 15" laptop with the power to do a lot more and a decent battery life. But for me the screens were all too small, I had a headache within 5 minutes on most of them.

I bought my netbook because eventually I want to replace the hard drive (with a much larger one) and have it hackintoshed so that (once I digitize my pre 2002 photos) I can have all of my pics in a 'regular' (non iPhone/iPad) version of iPhoto. This is a much cheaper solution than trying to do this with a MacBook Air.

I actually bought my netbook after I already had a 17" MacBook Pro w/Boot Camp - Snow Leopard and Win 7 Home Premium (and a Toshiba 15" Dual Core and a cheap Compaq 15" Celeron). I later bought an eMachines 15" AMD, worth it for the storage alone ($198 new,) and soon after that the Toshiba died. I still have yet to use the e-machines (waiting in the wings until the Compaq dies).

But then I don't even have a mobile because I enjoy the luxury of being inaccessible, without the distractions of yakking and texting, while I'm working. |

Amen to this! My sentiments exactly. I have 2 mobile lines -- 1 GSM/AT&T and 1 Verizon on CDMA. I found that I was wasting money on monthly plans re intermittent usage, so I switched to prepaid unlimited $2 per day (only on days used) on both lines. I only turn either of the phones on when I am expecting an important call from a specific number or to make an outgoing call. I may change this in the future, but this arrangement currently works quite well.

Bump. Was going to bump up the spam thread to knock the new spam thread in this section off the homepage, but the thread about spam threads is closed.

IDK...all I know is that on my Samsung Charge with GB and the stock browser it handles YW like complete crap. The screen shutters a lot, doesn't scroll while typing, shifts back to the top of the page on forums, etc. Tapatalk works smooth like butter.
