Track day Yaris TS

Finally I get to start a thread on the tracking forum

Went to my first track day with the Yaris yesterday!!

On the video you will see our 2 Yarii.

My younger Bro on the red one.

2006 Yaris TS. 1.5L TRD Turbo 145bhp
Stock engine
Cat-back exhaust
LW crank pulley
K&N drop in filter
15" konig heliums wrapped on 205/50 Hankook RS2's

Me on the Black Yaris
2008 Yaris TS 1.8L 136bhp
Stock Engine
Fujita CAI
NST UD Crank Pulley
Cat back exhaust
Tein Basics
TRD sway bar
Camber bolts -1.8deg front camber 0 toe
Rear 15mm hub spacers
215/45/17 Falken Azenis RT-615

Both cars with rear seats removed.

Most of the cars out there were on R-compounds and we still were faster than about 80% of them.
Other Cars out there:
Miata/ Civic b16 / Civic Turbo / 240 SX Turbo / Peugeot RC / Peugeot GTi / Sentra B13 SER / Sentra b14 SER / WRX / CRX / Starlet 4AG /

And the video:

It really takes a day at the track to make you realize the GAP between the driver that you thought you were and the driver that you really are...!

By the end of the day I improved 4 secs on this course. We were running a short track. I started doing 1:22 per lap and ended up making 1:18.

The trac control was killing my exit speed...

The fastest cars were making 1:16 and a race prepped CRX made 1:14

I was so busy the night before getting everything ready that I forgot to take the printed instructions to disable it to track...

Next time it will be....

It was my first time with the Yaris on a track... so my initial times were really crappy... I was searching for the lines and brake points...

I did 3 heats. 15-20 laps each
