Movies

Very random OT style post coming....!

I caught planet of the apes (original) on AMC a few days ago, and it reminded me how much I love movies like that :). Btw, the newer planet of the apes was weak in comparison...

But either way...

I aqcuired a copy of "american graffiti", "1984", "dune", and all of the planet of the apes series. Previous to this, the only movies I've had were all of the star wars.

Just watched american graffiti for the 1st time yesterday... ah man what a great movie! Makes me wish there was still something like that, any "cruise night" its so heavily policed, you better just park the car otherwise your begging for a ticket.... not to mention, far and few between. Street racing is also getting decentralized, with smaller groups goin to random spots to race, instead of goin to what used to be the best spots, got too big, and are now heavily policed.

I've yet to watch the rest, Dune is definitely next on my list!!!!! I've never seen it from the very beginning, but from what I have seen its an awesome movie.

Getting more off-topic... I saw "the black dahlia" and never before have I wanted to just leave the theatre in the middle of a movie... it was horrid, the worst piece of shat i've ever seen.. some movies are "bad", but they are so "bad" they are good... this movie was just

Feel free to leave more random movie comments

Little Miss Sunshine is the best movie I've seen in years.

American Beauty, Pulp Fiction, and The Usual Suspects are the best movies ever.

I never watch movies.... just dont have time. But I do want to see Little Miss Sunshine. A frisend showed the scene where she is dancing to "Superfreak". It was hillarious.

Try watching with the (closed) captions on... they sometimes forget to "edit for tv".

Night at the Museum = hilarious

The wife and I are addicted to movies/TV series on DVD... last we counted we were close to 600 movies and we have every season of Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, CSI: LV & 4400

Has anyone seen "My Super Ex-Girlfriend"? That movie is funny, gets a little cheesey at the end but funny

Yeah it was kind of mindless, but fun for an hour and half...

Series like 24, Prison Break, Battlestar Galactica, those which have a gripping ongoing story, they really remind me more of reading a book, length and detail-wise... But I also enjoy light-hearted fare like How I Met Your Mother, which is, in my opinion, a worthy successor to Friends. Other great shows are House M.D., Scrubs, Las Vegas... There's really a lot of good stuff out there nowadays. Heroes is supposed to be good too, but I have not yet seen it.
