Revel in the stupidity of the voir dere process and specifically of some of the people who end up in a jury pool. I've only been thru it once, and i distinctly remember thinking that a lot of the people there weren't playing stupid to get out of jury duty, they were just dumber than stumps. I actually found it entertaining. Maybee i just don't like my job as much as you like yours.

lol. Idk how it is up north, but in the U.S. you can't opt out of jury duty. If that were the case then I think possibly 95% of U.S. citizens would not be going to jury duty.

I got stuck with jury duty once. Tried to get out using school as an excuse, but the judge wouldn't let me go and told me it would be a good experience. All it showed me was how retarded the justice system, and the general population, is because at least half the people that get chosen to be on a jury are stupid and/or bring personal prejudices into the deliberation room ("Oh, I don't trust that cop's statements because my cousin got hassled by a cop before," "I don't like that way this guy looks, so he must be guilty," etc. etc.).

But I guess if the average IQ is 100, then that means half the population has a sub-100 IQ level.

you get kicked off because of the whole url thing... notice that it'll change from just yarisworld.com to www.yarisworld.com then ask you to log on again...

Anyway, a professor of mine gets off from jury duty by sounding really intelligent and credentialed. Apparently, they don't want smart people in the jury.

If you have a 9-5 job jury duty is great. You get paid and get to do something different. If you own your own business or don't work, jury duty sucks.
