An option for a better paint job would have had my money.

I’m not sure about the 1.0 Bailout, there would have to be a new gearing option to go along with it. I’d like to see the 1.3 gas or 1.4 diesel as an option available in the US. Speaking of gearing, a few options as far as gearing would be great also. The road warriors could have their speed and we could have our economy gearing! For economy driving, first gear has got to be the worst thing ever (at least in the manual tranny).

The 60/40 rear seat would have been nice, or at least make the other back seat fold flat.

A more adjustable driver’s seat or an option for a different seat. This one can be a little hard on me if driving for more than a few hours.

I’m used to the steering wheel now but a few inches of adjustability would have been better.

More aerodynamic front end. Something slightly more aero than a bowling ball would be nice. I already have my plans for one but need to wait until it is paid for. How about a whole economy package? Full underbody panels, front dam, wheel skirts… As it is now I need to wait 4 more years before I can permanently modify anything on the little bugger.

I do like Toyota’s idea on the Yaris that everything is an option. Here is a car, take it from there.

A better hatch handle! Ya know, one that isn't "cave man" style.

I would have been willing to deal with the dealer for anything I listed.

Not in specific order:

1. Diesel engine or maybe a 1.3 liter gas engine
2. Better paint
3. Much better manual transmission (I got an automatic because manual transmission on the car that I test drove was just terrible)
4. Cruise control
5. Most of the safety options on the market
6. 4 wheel disk breaks
7. Better seats
8. Center arm rest
9. Better(well much better) quality interior
10. Sound deadening materials
11. Side and rear airbags
12. Better(well MUCH better) quality speakers
13. Sunroof
14. Better crash test ratings

I think I would be willing to pay an extra $3,000 for all these options.

Here is mine, in order of preference:

Power Moonroof
Heated Leather Seating (Height-adjustable would be great too)
XM Capable Factory Radio (Mine is an 08, I know they have it now)
One touch up & Down on all windows (like my previous VWs)

and some better colors. A nice vivid yellow would be sweet (like my old 02 Mazda Protege5)

Ditto. I'm on the opposite side of the equation...there were a lot of things available that I didn't opt for.
