If nothing else, i might just get a cap for that spot, and disconnect the switch.

Can someone break down the install on the led to go in the auto shifter for the liftback? I have searched the threads and the repair manual but haven't found any good instructions or a tutorial. I'm stumped.

It will be cheaper and quicker for me to purchase from somewhere in the UK hence the UK (ebay) links.
I know i can get them from autolumination.
I still dont know how many bulbs there are per knob.
Can someone check those links for me and tell me if any of those are any good?

Regards

FH

sorry, didnt even look at your local.
Each knob only has 1 light in it. And you can search ebay for "Neo - Wedge Instrument Panel Bulbs." just be-sure that they are the correct ones if you get from ebay

is how the LED/Bulb needs to look for the temp controls

the you listed look like the one needed for the shifter light (gear selection light-up on automatics)

Once again if you go with a bulb it needs to be:
Neo - Wedge Instrument Panel Bulb

and if its a led:
Neo - Wedge Instrument Panel LED Type A/B (C should work aswell)

Yes it can be done in the 09 - I just changed my speedo gauge backlighting from orange to blue using these from eLed :
http://www.eled.com/product.asp?cata...d=epl3015pbc-a

They are slightly bigger than what Vodkalush recommended in his DIY but they worked fine and were easier to work with (slightly). The problem I ran into was the clock on the base 09 LB gets its color from the plastic housing it is in, so changing the LED's would not fix that. What I did was buy some blue 1/8 inch transparent plexiglass and use that to change the clock color. I cut out a window in the orange plastic part around the clock and replaced it with a small piece of blue plexi that I got here:
http://www.estreetplastics.com/Trans...Sheet_s/58.htm

Cost me like $3 plus the LED's and overall was pretty easy - Use search to find the DIY from others that changed their gauge color lighting
