Mine acts up only when there's moisture in the air. On rainy days it's like a mule

well, to make things short: gasoline should weigh less than water, so measure a gallon of water and you know it will be less than that.
some numbers I found while browsing are .74 times the weight of water, as well as a final number close to 6.3 lbs per gallon..it also depends on ethanol treatment and other additives as well...
again, don't quote me on this as I have not done the measurement my self :D
if you have a lawn mower, you probably have a gas can of 1 gallon...

Test it, next time its really foggy, or raining a lot, you wll notice immediately the car is slower. Same with warmer weather.

And of course the A/C when engaged uses around 20hp.
Really? Around 20hp, just for using the A/C...roughly = to the total drivetrain loss for our Yaris?

Have u tried putting in fuel system cleaners in it..they make a tremendous difference as well as using 91 octane gas...mine is fast now...put in an AFE cold-air intake as well...apparently the engine is starved of air under greater loads

The cold weather makes my car make more noises than I'm used to hearing. The engine is pretty loud and while the car is warming up random parts seem to rattle and vibrate more than they did in the summer.

Normal? I'm not too concerned... just wondering.

I had a Metro and you pretty much had to totally turn off the air conditioning if you hit a steep incline.

Lately my Yaris seems to be slow all the time. I can easily go from 0-25 mph fine, then once i get from 30-40 its just no power. The performance is better when ive been using the car for awhile, but it is horrible when i have not been using it for a while. And Yes, i do let the cool light go out before going over 40 mph.

The problem could be the person. If they just got out from the buffet, the car will be slower or if they just got out from the bathroom, the car is faster.

I feel like mines is slow on the freeway, like when i put light pressure on the pedal, over time the speed would slowly creep downwards. Never felt that way in any of my family's camrys. Its like a different baseline of power to what I'm used to in terms of pedal travel. Of course, when I stomp on the pedal it gives me all the acceleration i need.
