This is my home internet, and this test was done with my laptop, via wireless.

haha and to really make some of you warm and fuzzy, my CELL PHONE just clocked in at 3.43Mb down, 1.11Mb up with a 53ms ping. :-)

This test seems pretty generous. I pay for 10 Mbit service from Charter, but it typically seems far slower than that. When I use 2wire's speed meter (http://www.2wire.com/bandwidth/initialmeter.php) I only see about 1.2 Mbit, which seems more realistic.
